Science Enrichment Morning

On Tuesday 22nd October we were joined by children in year 2 and 3 from some local small schools. They joined us for the morning to take part in a science enrichment morning. The children were learning about sound and pitch and had to make a xylophone out of jam jars. They had to pour water into the jars to make each one sound different. Then they had to play the tune 'Hot Cross Buns'. The children achieved this, and worked out that the more water in the jar, the lower the sound would be. This information then helped them to play other tunes.
